Our timetable follows the term calendar for 2024. Our club time table is listed below as well as what happens on that day.

TIMETABLE

Below is our timetable for our club program. Adult Beginner Sessions (17 y/o +) are Tuesday evenings 7:00pm - 9:00pm and Kids Beginners (6 y/o to 16 y/o) are Saturday afternoons 1:00pm - 2:30pm. We recommend all beginners to do a term of beginners fencing before joining the more advanced sessions.

 

All fencing specific equipment will be provided at the club. Beginners must wear comfortable, running shoes and long track pants are recommended. Experienced fencers are encouraged to provide their own gear. Any other questions, please contact us or refer to our FAQ page.

MONDAY | HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

We train for physical fitness during these nights to condition our athletes. We run these sessions during school terms.

TUESDAY | KIDS BEGINNER + INTERMEDIATE SESSIONS

5:00pm - 6:30pm

  • Kids Beginner Sessions

  • Intermediate Kids Sessions

Our Kids Sessions are dedicated for Kids (from 6 y/o and up) who want to try the sport for the first time. Beginners will spend time learning the basics with our Beginner Coach.

Intermediate Kids Sessions will work with our foil and sabre coaches with a focus on technique.

TUESDAY | FOIL AND SABRE TRAINING + ADULT BEGINNERS

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

  • General Fencing Session for Adults
    and Older Kids 

  • Adult Beginners Sessions

Join us on our Tuesday Fencing Sessions tailored to various skill levels.

Tuesday nights are also dedicated to our General Fencing Session, catering to both adults and older kids. Immerse yourself in the world of fencing, where skill development and high-intensity challenges await.

 

Our Tuesday night sessions also cater to Adult Beginners who want to try fencing for the first time. There is no prior experience need to try this sport.

FRIDAY | FOIL AND SABRE FREE FENCING (KIDS AND ADULTS)

7:00pm - 9:00pm

Come and join us for Free Fencing sessions every Friday night, exclusively designed for Foil and Sabre enthusiasts of all ages. Immerse yourself in various Sabre and Foil fencing disciplines in a focused and inclusive environment. Whether you're an experienced fencer or a newcomer eager to hone your skills, our Friday night sessions offer a dedicated space for purposeful practice.

Visitors from other clubs are welcome to join us. Please follow the Visiting Fencer Protocol prior to these sessions.

SATURDAY | KIDS SESSIONS (BEGINNERS, INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED)

11:00am - 12:30pm

  • Advanced Kids Sessions

​1:00pm - 2:30pm

  • Beginner and Intermediate Kids Sessions

Our 11:00 am to 12:30 pm sessions are for our Advanced Kids who have earned their Bronze Proficiency. Focus will be in building skills and technique beyond the fundamentals for our foilists and sabreurs.

Our 1:00pm to 2:30 pm sessions are dedicated for Kids (from 6 y/o and up) who want to try the sport for the first time, all the way up to the intermediate level. Beginners will spend time learning the basics with our Beginner Coach. Intermediate Kids will work with our foil and sabre coaches with a focus on technique. Those working towards obtaining their Bronze Proficiency should attend this session.

Visiting Fencers

 

Visiting Fencers from other clubs are able to join us on our Friday night sessions free of charge. Fencers visiting from International, Interstate or from other WA Fencing Clubs need to send an email via our contact form to inform our Head Coach and Club President of their plan to attend by the Monday night before the session. Prior to their first visit they should fill out a visiting fencers form (below).

 

Visiting fencers may be asked to not attend sessions if the gym is at capacity. Visiting fencers are also asked to comply with Excalibur Community Fencing Clubs Covid-19 Protocols when attending club sessions. If visiting fencers want to attend more sessions, they are required to pay a club membership fee.
