Our timetable follows the term calendar for 2023. Our club time table is listed below as well as what happens on that day.

TIMETABLE

Below is our timetable for our club program. If you are interested in taking up fencing, please contact us. Beginner sessions for adults (17 y/o +) are Friday evenings 7:00pm - 9pm and children (6 y/o to 16 y/o) are Saturday afternoons (1pm - 2:30pm Junior Sabre and 2:30pm - 4pm Junior Foil and Junior Beginners). We recommend all beginners to do a term of beginners fencing before joining the more advanced sessions.

 

All fencing specific equipment will be provided at the club. Beginners must wear comfortable, running shoes and long track pants are recommended. Experienced fencers are encouraged to provide their own gear. Any other questions, please contact us or refer to our FAQ page.

MONDAY | High Performance Program

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

We train for physical fitness during these nights to condition our athletes. Perfect for those who are experienced fencers training for competitions in all levels. We run these sessions during school terms.

TUESDAY | Foil and Sabre Training

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

  • Joint Group Training Intermediate, Advanced and High Performance

We run the General Foil and Sabre Training during Tuesday nights as well as general fitness. We run these sessions during school terms though we advise to speak with the coach during term breaks.

FRIDAY | Fencing, Fitness and Adult Beginners

7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

  • Joint Group Training Intermediate, Advanced and High Performance

  • Adult Beginners Session (17 y/o+) *recommended for adults trying fencing for the first time*

We run general fencing on Friday nights as well as general fitness. We recommend adult beginners (ages 17 y/o +) to come and try fencing on this day. We run these sessions during school terms though we advise to speak with the coach during term breaks.

 

Visitors from other clubs are able to attend if they follow the Visiting Fencer Protocol.

SATURDAY | Junior Sessions*

1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

  • Junior Training (16y/o and below)

  • 1:00 pm– 2:30 pm: Beginner and Intermediate Foil & Sabre

  • 2:30 – 4:00pm: Advanced Foil & Sabre

*recommended these session for kids trying fencing for the first time*
 

We run the Junior training sessions on Saturdays. This session includes the Junior Beginners program from 1pm - 2:30pm.  We run these sessions during the school term only. Beginners are welcome to start anytime throughout the term, please get in touch if you would like to sign-up for your first free session.

Visiting Fencers

 

Visiting Fencers from other clubs are able to join us on our Friday night sessions free of charge. Fencers visiting from International, Interstate or from other WA Fencing Clubs need to send an email via our contact form to inform our Head Coach and Club President of their plan to attend by the Monday night before the session. Prior to their first visit they should fill out a visiting fencers form (below).

 

Visiting fencers may be asked to not attend sessions if the gym is at capacity. Visiting fencers are also asked to comply with Excalibur Community Fencing Clubs Covid-19 Protocols when attending club sessions. If visiting fencers want to attend more sessions, they are required to pay a club membership fee.
